Over the past 35 years, Aberdeen City and Shire has built a unique reputation in oil and gas, and is recognised globally as the energy capital of Europe. The Energetica concept builds on this rich seam of knowledge, technology and commerce to create an opportunity across the region to grow further, diversify and prosper.

At its heart is a 30-mile development corridor. Extending from north Aberdeen to Peterhead, it already links key energy assets such as Aberdeen’s science parks, airport, OceanLab and the Port of Peterhead. What’s more, the corridor provides real opportunities for new investment in infrastructure, leisure and housing.
